Palatal Expander and Braces Treatment on Pre-Teens

A narrow Maxilla (upper jaw) does not provide enough space for the eruption of permanent teeth, particularly the canines.  By expanding the maxillary bone with a Palatal Expander during jaw development (Pre-Teens and Adolescents) we can widen the arch.  When combining it with traditional braces, we can create space for the proper alignment of teeth.
